Gamekeepers Carriage is our beautifully converted railway carriage that has been developed to create self contained accommodation, our take on luxury glamping or a shepherds hut . Positioned elevated above Pateley Bridge on our family run farm you will find yourself surrounded by fields and moorland with stunning views of the Nidderdale countryside. Sleeping two the bespoke and individual Gamekeepers Carriage whilst small and relatively compact is perfectly formed. The addition of the hot tub provides a touch of luxury suitable for every occasion. The fantastic location makes a great base for a rural break and we welcome well behaved dogs.
OUR STORY
Gamekeepers Carriage and its history
Mark is a 4th generation farmer and his family has farmed here for many years.
The railway carriage arrived over 50 years ago and was placed on the moor as somewhere for the local moorland shoot to eat their sandwiches. Over the years it fell into disrepair and sat on the moor in quite a sorry state housing brambles and feed buckets! My father needed a project having retired (early!) and he came up with Gamekeepers Carriage and in-between helping on the farm he has transformed the carriage into how you see it today.
